About the business
An urban apiary service providing city dwellers with the skills and equipment to host honey-bee hives in Melbourne, Victoria. It sells, installs and maintains bee hives in suburban gardens, and packs and sells local honey to retail outlets and the food industry. It also removes bee swarms and nests and runs bee education sessions for schools, businesses and local government. It is a mobile business that can be operated from anywhere with a backyard, a cool room and a storage area. A vehicle and beehive equipment are included. The broker reports that existing knowledge of bee keeping is not necessary and that it won a silver medal at the Australian Good Awards 2019.
